Key Ingredients and Benefits

Ingredients: Medical-grade silicone gel matrix with vitamin E solution

Directions

Wash your hands and the scar area with soap and water. Dry thoroughly. Cut the gel-pad to fit the scar area as needed, so that the edges extend at least 1/4” beyond the scar on all sides. Gently peel the gel-pad from the mylar release strip (it is normal for small bits of the gel to remain on the mylar release strip). Do not discard the mylar release strip. Place the sticky side of the gel-pad directly onto the scar. For best results, wear the gel-pad 8-12 hours per treatment. Wait 8-12 hours without use before next treatment. After removal of gel-pad, apply 1-2 drops of E-Sil™ onto the scar, massage gently until absorbed. Repeat as needed. When not wearing the gel-pad, place the gel-pad (sticky side) back onto the mylar release strip. Place the gel-pad back into the original pouch for protection. When the sticky side of the gel-pad appears dirty or worn, use your finger to gently wash the gel-pad with soap and water, as needed. Rinse with water and allow to air dry. The stickiness will return once dry. Do not fold while washing or drying.

FAQs

  • What infections is this indicated for?

Effective in the management of hypertrophic and keloid scars, as well as post-surgical or injury-related scars. Beneficial for reducing redness, softening raised tissue, and improving the overall appearance of scars.

  • What is the mechanism of action?

Medical-grade silicone gel pads create an occlusive, hydrated environment that regulates collagen production and helps flatten and soften scar tissue. The Vitamin E solution provides antioxidant and moisturizing support, improving elasticity and promoting a smoother appearance.

  • How long should treatment continue?

Noticeable improvements are often seen within 4–8 weeks. Optimal results typically require continued use for 8–12 weeks or longer, depending on scar age, thickness, and location.

  • How should patients be counseled?

Advise consistent daily application of the gel pads in combination with Vitamin E solution as directed. Counsel patients on proper skin hygiene before application, gentle handling of scar tissue, and the importance of regular use for best results. Pads should be reused as instructed and replaced when worn.

  • What if patients are unsatisfied with results?

Blaine Labs offers a 100% patient-direct money-back guarantee. If patients are not satisfied, they may contact Blaine Labs directly to complete a short product experience survey. Upon completion and qualification, Blaine Labs processes the refund – removing financial burden from the practice.
